November Holiday Events in Atlanta: Part 1

It’s that time of year when the temps are getting cooler, the holiday lights and decorations are going up, and everyone is getting into the holiday spirit. If you’re anything like us, you might wonder what to do in Atlanta during November, and especially what holiday-themed events are going on. Luckily for you, we put together a two-part list of events in Atlanta to get into the Holiday spirit. Read on to learn more about these wonderful Holiday Atlanta events!

Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at Atlanta Botanical Gardens

Holiday lights are a must to ring in the holiday season, and it doesn’t get much better than Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at Atlanta Botanical Garden. Even the most grinch-like folk will light up after a few minutes in this sparkly paradise, which is already magical on its own, but transformed into a winter wonderland is a treat not to be missed! Since this is such a beloved Atlanta Holiday event, unsurprisingly, tickets sell out quickly, so we advise purchasing tickets with plenty of time! This is the 12th anniversary of this twinkly event, and it runs from November 12th to January 14th at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Stone Mountain Christmas at Snow Mountain Park

If you’re looking for a Christmas event for the whole family to enjoy together, then Stone Mountain Christmas at Stone Mountain Park is just what you’ve been looking for! This spectacular Christmas-themed event has every Christmas detail you could ever dream of. A couple of our favorites are the scenic railroad and the 20-minute Christmas light show, which includes Christmas music and even a fireworks display! This magical Christmas event runs on selected dates from November 12th through January 1st at Stone Mountain Park. Tickets are available for purchase online, and we recommend purchasing well in advance.

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Georgia

For families with teen children or groups of all ages, Holiday In the Park at Six Flags is the perfect holiday-themed activity for you! What does this special holiday event entail? Aside from the standard theme park attractions, Six Flags is given a Christmas makeover in everything from the merchandise, food & beverages, rides, and even holiday shows! A few Holiday in the Park standouts include singing along to Christmas classics with Six Flags carolers, watching the Elf Sock Hop Performance, and visiting The North Pole to meet Santa, Mrs. Clause, and the whole gang! Tickets can be purchased online for select dates from November 19th through January 1st.

Skate the Station

Next up on our list of November holiday activities in Atlanta is Skate the Station at Atlantic Station. Ice skating is a must when it comes to holiday activities and what better place to do it than the largest ice-skating rink in the Metro Atlanta area! Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door, and the ice-skating rink is open from November 18th to January 16th.
