We will walk you through some of Atlanta’s must-see locations. Then provide tips from our favorite tours, which will group these attractions together, as well as places to refuel along the way. Buckle up! You’ve got a busy day ahead of you in the Southern heat.

Make sure to start your day with a cup of joe, because our Atlanta itinerary is going to keep you moving. Check out this list of the best coffee shops in Atlanta to find a delicious coffee near where you’re staying.

Get moving in Centennial Olympic Park. This is an impressive, 22-acre, urban green space in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The site of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games is now a cultural hub, hosting tons of cultural and sporting events each month. It is a perfect spot to get some fresh air and exercise.

Atlanta is often considered the home of the modern civil rights movement. This fact along with its groundbreaking history makes Atlanta a black mecca. Tourists from around the world flock to Atlanta each year to soak in its emblematic African-American history. From historic black neighborhoods to landmarks of the civil rights movement, the city is bursting at the seams with black history. Even if you’re only in town for a short while, don’t miss this opportunity to walk in the footsteps of important civil rights leaders. We recommend you sign up for our Black History & Civil Rights Tour. This will allow you to view the home of the first black millionaire and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthplace all in a single afternoon.

As the sun sets, see the Atlanta skyline come to life in a sea of twinkling lights. View the iconic city lit up against the night sky. Our City Lights Night Tour is a great way to see many top landmarks altogether. This tour takes you through beautiful downtown Atlanta, the Jackson St. Bridge, Atlantic Station, and more. This is the perfect opportunity to check off three days worth of must-see attractions in just a couple of hours!

Finally, no trip to the ATL would be complete without a stop at the Sun Dial (210 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303). This iconic, rotating cocktail bar atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel is dripping with Southern style. Take in a local art show while sipping a craft cocktail, as the city spins beneath you. If that isn’t to your taste, head westside of downtown to one of the hottest new attractions, the Trap Music Museum. This isn’t your typical museum but a one of kind gallery where one can explore the origins of one Atlanta’s most unique hip-hop genres, along with a fun interactive escape room. Finally, end your whirlwind day of sightseeing with a classic Atlanta institution, a roller skating rink! Roller rinks have long been a pivotal part of Atlanta’s hip-hop culture. Head to Cascade Family Skating to take some spins where Beyonce rang in her 21st birthday party!
