NYE Peach Drop 2022

We are kicking off our NYE events in Atlanta with an Atlanta classic, the Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta. Although this has been a beloved Atlanta traditionfor decades, it will be the first time int three years that we’ll have the opportunity to ring in the new year with the Peach Drop. The big event will be on New Year’s Eve. It will be hosted by Mayor Andre Dickens, with the help of the iconic Jermaine Dupri, and special guest appearances from Da Brat, Jagged Edge, and YoungBloodZ, with Ryan Cameron emceeing the event. The best part? It’s free!

The Battery Atlanta New Year’s Eve Bash

Next up in New Year’s Eve fun is the annual New Year’s Eve Bash at The Battery. This free event presented by Xfinity is broken up into two parts: The Early Inning, starting at 6:00 pm, ideal for those celebrating with kids, and The Late Innings, starting at 9:00 pm. The Early Inning is located in the Plaza and will have an inflatable baseball drop at 8:00 pm and a performance from GRAMMY nominee Justin Roberts. For the more mature crowd, The Late Innings features a performance from the popular Nashville-based cover band 12 South Band, leading up to the midnight countdown to ring in the new year with confetti and fireworks.

Stone Mountain Park Kids Early NYE Celebration

If you’re looking for a New Year’s Eve celebration with little ones, this one is for you! Make the last day of 2022 extra special with a visit to Stone Mountain Park to enjoy the Kids’ Early New Year’s Celebration while it’s still light out. The kid-friendly NYE celebration is available with a daily Christmas Attractions Pass or the annual Mountain Membership. There will be a beautiful snowfall and fireworks at 9:00 pm to ring in the new year, ensuring the little ones are tucked in well before midnight!

IllumiNights at the Zoo Atlanta

Last but not least is another kid-friendly way to celebrate the New Year, IllumiNights at the Zoo Atlanta. A fun and unique way to celebrate the New Year and perfect for families with small children, IllumiNights at the Zoo Atlanta is a Chinese lantern festival (animal lanterns, of course), featuring over 80 lanterns representing real and imagined wildlife. All the lanterns are hand-painted by Chinese artists and feature environmental LED lights that give the lanterns a soft glow. Enjoy this Chinese lantern festival from 5:30 to 9:30 pm (last arrival time is at 8:00 pm), open now through January 15th. As this is a popular event with families, we advise you to get your tickets online with plenty of time!
